What’s with the name?

The name "Sun & Moon" honors my daughters, Emma and Quinn, who are my everything. They inspire me daily to create unique and beautiful balloon designs that bring joy to others. Through their light, I’m reminded to help others celebrate life’s special moments in unforgettable ways.

  • At Sun & Moon Balloon Design, our focus is primarily on air-filled balloon creations, as they provide durability and longevity without the need for helium. While we typically don't offer helium balloons as part of our standard offerings, we do accommodate requests as an add-on when available.

  • We’ll make sure to include a detailed delivery and installation quote with your proposal. Delivery is based on location (Frederick County starts at $75) and installation is 15-20%.

  • Yes, in most cases we require what we call a “retainer,” which is usually 50% of the total cost. This fee secures (“retains”) our services for your date and is applied to the balance, which will be reflected on your invoice.

    Events being held within 3 weeks of booking require payment in full.

  • Certainly! At Sun & Moon Balloon Design, we take pride in being fully licensed and insured. Our business license was obtained through the State of Maryland in June 2022, and we carry comprehensive liability insurance for your peace of mind. Should your venue require it, we are more than happy to provide a Certificate of Insurance upon request.

    Furthermore, our lead designer, Jolena, holds a prestigious Certified Balloon Artist (CBA) designation. This certification is a testament to our commitment to the highest standards of training and professional practices in the industry.

  • We exclusively utilize latex and mylar/foil balloons in our designs, all sourced from reputable manufacturers committed to environmentally conscious practices. Our latex balloons boast professional-grade quality, crafted from 100% natural rubber. We primarily partner with suppliers in the USA, occasionally sourcing from Europe to ensure premium materials for our creations.

We have clients from all around Frederick County, but we also design, deliver, and install balloons for clients in Pennsylvania, Delaware, D.C., and throughout Maryland.
